this past week I logged just under 2 miles of vertical drop hiking stowe and sugarbush. it began with stowe on wednesday and then kicked off again friday, hiking mt ellen at sugarbush early in the morning with andy and rob. after some tailgating and consuming 12 eggs and a few bagels we met up with ian and said peace to andy. our next mission was to go hike the gondi at stowe. ian, rob and i got up to stowe and the gondi was super bare so we decided to hike up the triple area where they had been blowing snow all week. we stopped a little past the top of the triple where snowmaking was going on higher up and came down just in time before dark. saturday we came back and summited at the quad, the snow was perfect packed powder and the run was exactly like a mid winter bluebird day. sunday, ian, andy, and i went back and did it again. spring skiing and sick times were had! thanks to mother nature for the natural pow and the legendary snow making crew at stowe for making this possible. here are a few screenies and photos from the weekend.
cheers, the NEF crew
