so uh... snow. yeah there is pretty much zero snow in Nashua but you know me, i always have to find the spot. so far this year we haven't been able to get any shots in nashua thanks to no snow in the flat warm lands of nashua, so naturally ian and i were determined to get a shot. from a tip we received we found a huge pile behind chunky's theatre and pub. we found the pile on saturday but the transportation of the snow seemed to be a problem forcing us to push it to the back burner. but yesterday we didn't have much else to do so we came back to the pile and found what i thought to be a pretty chill rail not to far away from the pile. the problem was the lack of a truck to move the snow from the pile about 800 ft to the rail. we debated using a shopping cart but it seemed kind of sketchy to the passer by and the chunky's workers on break. finally ian came up with the idea to fill my board bag up with snow and carry it over to the rail using the van. it worked pretty well. after about 4 or 5 loads i thought we had an adequate amount of snow err, well ice would be a more appropriate term i suppose... anyway after doing a bit of scavenging in some nearby junk we came up with a super warped piece of plywood and 5 logs from a downed tree. we had a crude but legit looking launch ramp to mini booter to get on the rail. after some loud scraping the landing seemed good enough so i strapped in and got ready to hit it. after probably 2 hours plus it was not going to work out, there were several factors that lead to this conclusion, we had been there for what seemed like eternity and basically we just wanted to leave. i could maybe have taken another hour and POSSIBLY hit it but i just wasn't feeling it. the decision was to bail. maybe if we get some snow in the near future i would hit it but yesterday was a no go. anyways here are a couple gopro screen shots from the adventure. enjoy. oh and hint hint there will hopefully be some slacklining "media" up soon in a new post so keep ur eyes peeled and the refresh button refreshed!
